Joint DAFP Board and Membership Meeting on March 14 features Secretary of the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, Dr. Kara Odom Walker
Join DAFP for a joint Board of Trustees and Membership meeting on March 14 at 6:00 pm in rooms 11 and 12 at the John H. Ammon Medical Education Center at the Christiana Care Health System Campus in Newark. Dr. Kara Odom Walker, a board-certified family physician and Cabinet Secretary of the Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), will be in attendance to lead a discussion on the “Roadmap to Value.”
One of Governor John Carney’s highest priority health care agenda items, the “Roadmap to Value” outlines the recommended strategies to achieve the goal of transforming health care while simultaneously improving health in Delaware. In September, as part of the roadmap, Secretary Walker and DHSS were granted authorization to establish a health care spending benchmark with a growth rate linked to the overall economy of the state – the first step in transforming Delaware’s health care system to a more outcomes-driven system.

There is no cost to attend the joint meeting, but registration is required as dinner will be served. To confirm your attendance, please click here and fill out the simple confirmation form.
