DAFP Foundation
The Delaware Academy of Family Physicians Research and Education (DAFP/REF) Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Delaware Academy of Family Physicians, and a networking member of the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation. Founded in 1991, the DAFP/REF Foundation is dedicated to advancing primary health care throughout Delaware by supporting the specialty of Family Medicine.
The DAFP/REF Foundation is achieving this goal by:
- Supporting goals and projects of the Delaware Academy of Family Physicians
- Developing and providing funding resources to promote and support the specialty of family practice
- Developing programs that encourage and assist students in choosing a career in family practice
- Developing projects that promote the health care of citizens throughout Delaware
The Delaware Academy of Family Physicians Research and Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and is able to receive grants, tax-deductible gifts and contributions from DAFP members, the AAFP Foundation, the corporate community and the general public.
