A regional series designed for primary care physicians to keep current in the face of constant change in specialty disciplines – a collaborative educational initiative of The Delaware Academy of Family Physicians (DAFP) and the Delaware Academy of Medicine (DAM).
The Top Ten Series is a monthly (excluding August and December) regional conference that educates Delaware physicians on evidence-based updates in a variety of important specialty areas. The program features regional speakers who present up-to-date research studies and medical interventions on these topics. The goal of this activity is to improve the standard of practice for primary care physicians and specialists. Conference sites will include hospitals in New Castle, Kent and Sussex Counties throughout 2010.
Objectives: At the completion of each session, attendees can be expected to: 1) Discuss recent advances in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of common clinical problems; 2) Describe treatment modalities to improve patient care; 3) Identify current national recommendations and guidelines regarding treatment and prevention of disease process; and 4) Reflect on opportunities to nurture a collegial, professional community of physicians.
